January 29th... Sean is 7 months old! Time has sure gone by super fast.
Sean continues to do well. Mommy & Daddy are enjoying him. It was a beautiful day, so we took Sean for a walk. He enjoyed getting some fresh air.
Sean is awake most of the day now. He takes naps now and then, but mostly he is awake. We are enjoying our time with him.
"Auntie" Debbie visited Sean today. Last time she saw Sean was when he was in the hospital. He's much bigger from when she last saw him.
We are hoping for another beautiful day to celebrate Sean's 7 month birthday.

He's growing...
Daddy gave Sean a bath tonight. We weighed him after his bath. Sean weighs exactly 14 lbs! He's almost double his weight from when he was released from the hospital mid-September. He came home at 7 lbs. 1oz.
We are enjoying Sean. We are also missing him when we are at work. Mommy is off of work at 5pm and home by 5:40 with Sean. It's good to work close to home.
The evenings go by way too fast. As soon as we get home, we make a quick dinner, eat, clean up and somewhere in between, Sean is getting tired and preparing for his bedtime on most nights at 7:30.
In the morning, we wake up at about 6AM. Mommy begins work at 9AM. We get to spend some time with Sean in the mornings before dropping him off at Avó and Avô's for the day.
Sean is interacting a lot more now. We are enjoying his growth and development.
We love our sweet baby boy!

Sean's Journey 1.22.12
Sean is doing great! He's been going to Physical Therapy. The P.T. is checking his motor skills. He is right on track for 3.5 months corrected.
Sean weighs about 13.5 lbs. We will weigh him again this week to get a more accurate weight. He continues to eat well. He begins eating solid foods in about 1.5 months when he is 5 months corrected.
His bedtime continues to be about 7:30. Sean now prefers to be sang to and rocked to sleep. A week ago, he fell asleep easily. Now he is wanting a little more attention before bedtime.
All is going well at Avó and Avô's. Sean enjoys being there with his grandparents and cousins. They are also enjoying Sean. Derek (13) asked Avó, "When do I get to play with him?" She said he'd have to wait until Sean gets bigger. He is still too small to play with.

Sean visits his Pediatrician
Sean had a visit with his Pediatrician on Friday. This was for his 6 month check-up.
Doctor was pleased with Sean's progress and growth.
He now weighs 13 lbs. 7 oz and is 24.5 inches long!
For a baby who is 3 months corrected, he is average size. Not too small and not too big.
We have been enjoying Sean. He is so much more alert, laughing, smiling, "talking"...
Daddy & Mommy are learning that Sean does great at restaurants. He is so well behaved. He looks around at what's going on and falls asleep when he gets tired.
Every weekend we try to get out with Sean for a little while. Now that he's not requiring to eat every 2 hours, it's easier to leave the house with him. He's eating every 2.5 to 3 hours now.
Thank you for your continued prayers & support.

Sean receives his 3rd of 5 Synagis injections
This afternoon Daddy & Mommy took Sean for his 3rd injection of Synagis. As usual Sean cried when getting the injection, but Mommy held him and Daddy gave him a little sugar water to calm him down. A few minutes later Sean was just fine.
Sean continues to be a good baby. He rarely cries...only when he gets hungry and has a dirty diaper. We are blessed by such a sweet, mellow baby boy!
He was weighed today at the Synagis clinic. He now weighs 13 lbs. 3 oz! It's amazing how much bigger he is. And how much he is changing. We love to see him smile and laugh.
Sean also sleeps through the night now! Yep...after turning 3 months corrected he sleeps all night. His bed time is anywhere from 7 - 8 PM. And then he doesn't wake up until about 5 AM. Mommy usually wakes at 4 AM wondering when Sean is going to wake up to eat. It's nice to be able to sleep though the night, but Mommy is not used to it yet.
Sean is doing well. We are looking forward to good weather and more trips out of the house with Sean. Looking forward to experiencing the world through Sean's eyes.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support.

Mommy was back at work on Tuesday. It was wonderful having time off between Christmas and New Years to spend with Sean & Daddy.
Sean had a good week at Avó and Avô's. He made them laugh a lot. And he is growing.... Sean now weighs 13 lbs! It's amazing how much bigger he is than when he first came home at 7 lbs. 1 oz.
He is smiling and laughing more! Daddy, Mommy & Sean took a short trip today to Downtown Campbell. It was a beautiful day.

Corrected Age Three Months (Post-Term)
If Sean were born on his EDD (estimated due date) of October 3rd, he would be 3 months old today.
This is what we can expect at Three Months Corrected:
General Behavior: At this age, infants are alert more often. They respond more to people during this time. They may smile in response to people.
Hearing: Infants now coo and chuckle when talked to.
Vision: Infants visually attend promptly to toys as well as to people. Infants are better able to follow objects from side to side than they were before. They begin to glance at a rattle held in their hands. They also begin to watch the movement of their own hands. They now visually tell the difference between whites, yellows, and greens. Their ability to look downward while sitting is beginning to develop.
Taste: Infants will chew on their fingers and toys. They learn much about toys by exploring them with their mouths.
Feeding: Infants may me mature enough to sleep through the night without needing to be fed.
Movement and Positioning: Head control continues to improve. When infants are placed in supported sitting positions, their heads are steadier. Infants begin to hold their heads in the middle of their bodies instead of to the side. When lying on their stomachs, infants start to use their arms for support. When held while standing, infants may put weight on their feet.
