Sean is still our Baby boy, but soon he will be a Toddler. He is changing and beginning to look more and more like a Toddler and less and less like a baby.
This week Sean started waving Goodbye!
Sean eats everything we eat (with a few exceptions). He loves food especially when Avo makes him something to eat. Sean is 1/2 Portuguese and it really shows when he eats Avo's home cooked meals.
Sean is becoming more active. He is still crawling all over the house. He doesn't stand on his own yet, but last night Daddy let go of Sean and he stood on his own for about 3 seconds.
He loves playing with toys and flipping through his books. Sean interacts when read to, he points at the pictures in the book and babbles.
When we take away something he really enjoys playing with like our cell phones or the TV remote control, Sean cries. This is typical of babies his age. It's his way of communicating.
Sean enjoys going for walks in the stroller and going to the nearby park.
He loves going for car rides.
We've been attending church fairly regularly on Sundays. Sean is very friendly and reaches out his arms for people to hold him.
This weekend, we plan to take Sean to a local pumpkin patch to pick up a few pumpkins. On Sunday, Sean will be dedicated at church.
What is Baby Dedication? (for those who do not know)
Christian parents who dedicate a child are making a promise to the Lord to do
everything within their power to raise the child in a godly way, prayerfully
until he or she can make a decision on his or her own to follow God. Parents who
make this vow of commitment are instructed to raise the child in the ways of
God, and not according to their own ways. Some of the responsibilities include
teaching and training the child in God's Word, demonstrating an example of
godliness, disciplining according to God's ways, and praying earnestly for the
child.
