Whew! Sean had a much better day yesterday.
During the hours at his bedside, he had only 1 apnea/brady. It was during feeding time, so they believe it is due to acid reflux.
They put Sean back on the C-pap + the 30 breaths per minute. Our baby boy isn't quite ready to do all his breathing on his own. They tried the bubble C-pap without the assistance of the 30 breaths, but Sean is not quite ready.
As of this morning, Sean weighs 2lbs. 7.1oz. He put on 20 grams from yesterday to today.
He is now eating 23 cc's every 3 hours.
I didn't hold Sean yesterday. I decided not to because Wednesday was a tough day for all of us.
I wanted to give him a "break".
Today, I am hoping Sean is well enough and strong enough for me to hold him again.
