4 lbs. 7.3 oz!!!! Wow! A couple of days ago Sean weighed less than 4 lbs. From yesterday to today, he put on 220 grams! This is a huge increase. This is good news, but they are watching Sean closely to make sure he doesn't look too puffy. Puffiness could be a sign that he is retaining water. So far so good. There are no signs of water retention.
Daddy & Mommy had a great day with Sean today. He is so much more alert and so much bigger than when he was first born. Mommy was able to hold Sean again today. It was an incredible experience...and so much fun! We are enjoying our time with our baby boy. We are looking forward to getting him home when he is ready.
He is having less and less Apnea/Brady episodes. They are almost non-existent. His oxygen level was at 25% today. When Mommy held him, RN tried Sean on the nasal cannula (no CPAP) and he did great! His oxygen seems to be regulating.
Please pray that when he is placed on the nasal cannula, he will succeed.
