Sean's Journey 8.15.11

Sean is doing well on the nasal cannula!   So far so good.  :)   He is happy to be off the CPAP.  Our hope is that he will continue to move forward with no setbacks.  His oxygen level has been mostly at 25%.

The RN washed his hair last night.  He's nice & clean.

Sean's feedings continue to go well.  He is now at 42 cc's every 3 hours.

Suck...swallow...breathe.  Today Sean nippled his first bottle!  He had 19 cc's of milk from the bottle.  Awesome!   And...he remembered to swallow and breathe!
Our big boy is now at 4 lbs.  9.2oz.  He is getting so much bigger (compared to his 2 lb. 4oz. birth weight).

Daddy drew black & white shapes (circle, square, rectangle, etc.) for Sean on 3x5 cards.  The RNs suggested that this is good for Sean's brain development.  The black/white contrast helps him focus.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) is Sean's weekly eye exam.  Please pray that all goes well with his eye exam & results.

Thank you for your continued support.
